Sex Assault Suspect Whacked With Machete In Philadelphia: Police

A 24-year-old woman struck a 43-year-old man in the head with a machete after he sexually assaulted her in Philadelphia, police said.

The man was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and placed in stable condition, and treated as a prisoner, police said.

The incident happened at a hotel on the 1200 block of Vine Street around 10:35 a.m. Sunday, July 30, according to a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia Police Department.

The man was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and placed in stable condition, and treated as a prisoner, police said.
